01 The statements

Answer what you can evidence.

Curriculum and delivery

Each standard has a curriculum plan that sequences knowledge, skills and behaviours.

Teaching and assessment for each learner follow that plan, and you can show it.

Starting points are assessed and used to shape each learner’s plan.

English and maths needs are identified at the start and planned in.

Off-the-job training

Every learner has a planned off-the-job target from the start.

Hours and qualifying activity are recorded as delivery happens, not totalled later.

Learners who fall behind their planned hours are picked up and supported.

Progress reviews

Reviews are dated and held at agreed intervals with the learner, employer and provider.

Each review sets actions, and those actions are followed up at the next one.

The employer contributes to reviews and to planning on-the-job learning.

Safeguarding and Prevent

Safeguarding and Prevent policies are current and staff know who the leads are.

Staff safeguarding and Prevent training is recorded and in date.

Concerns are logged, actioned and closed with a record of what happened.

Learners can say how to stay safe, including online, and who to tell.

Quality assurance

Internal quality assurance samples assessors and learners on a plan.

The self-assessment report (SAR) is evidence-based and current.

The quality improvement plan (QIP) has owners, dates and visible progress.

Learner and employer voice

Learner and employer feedback is gathered on a regular cycle.

You can show at least one change made because of that feedback.

Leaders review feedback alongside achievement and retention data.

Which framework does it follow?

The areas reflect Ofsted’s renewed education inspection framework, in use from November 2025. The statements are Journey’s evidence prompts, not framework wording.

Do you see my answers?
