Managed services for apprenticeship providers.
Specialist people for the work that slows providers down, working on the same Journey learner record as your team. Pick one service or combine all six.
Your team, with ours alongside.
Journey managed services give UK apprenticeship providers specialist capacity for curriculum, compliance and ILR, assessment and IQA, tutors, employer growth and recruitment. Each service runs on the Journey learner record and is scoped and priced in writing.
The six Journey managed services
Each service is run by people, works on the same Journey learner record as your own team and is scoped in writing before it starts. Choose one service or combine several.
Curriculum & Content Studio
Keep your curriculum current, mapped to the standard and ready to teach: KSB mapping, schemes of work, tutor slides and notes, learner workbooks, employer projects and gateway resources, with version control and an annual review.
Compliance, ILR & Admin Support
A team that works on your live records: ILR preparation and data-quality checks, evidence and paperwork checks, funding-rule readiness, audit packs and SAR and QIP support, so fewer problems are found late.
Assessment & IQA Support
Better feedback and fairer judgements: assessment planning, feedback-quality checks, IQA sampling and moderation, mock assessments and gateway evidence checks, with a monthly quality report.
Tutor Talent Pool
Trained tutor and assessor capacity when caseloads grow, a colleague leaves or a new standard starts, already familiar with Journey and your delivery model.
Employer Account Growth
Grow from the employers you already work with: account reviews, levy and workforce conversations, cross-programme opportunities and a monthly growth dashboard.
Marketing & Recruitment Engine
Find employers and apprentices without building a full marketing team: campaigns, landing pages, lead nurturing, pipeline tracking and a monthly campaign review.
Yearly readiness review and funding audit
Once a year, as part of membership, the Journey team runs a full readiness review for each provider. It checks your live data against the current Ofsted further education and skills framework and the current DWP apprenticeship funding rules, with each gap linked to the record that causes it. Reviews are carried out by the Journey review panel: industry experts with more than twenty years of experience in apprenticeships and further education, including former Ofsted inspectors. The panel member who signs off your review is named on it, and it reaches your team only after sign-off.
The review is an internal gap analysis. It is not an inspection, a grade or an audit opinion, and it is not endorsed by Ofsted, DWP or the Department for Education.
How Journey managed services work
- Talk it through. We look at your provision, your current system and where the pressure is.
- Agree the scope in writing. What we do, what your team keeps, the measures and the price.
- Work on one record. Our team works inside Journey with role-based access, so every action is visible and traceable.
- Review every month. You see what was done, what changed and what needs a decision.
Your provider stays responsible for its funding claims, its ILR return and its delivery decisions. The managed service gives your team more capacity and earlier warnings; it does not take over those legal responsibilities.
What is an apprenticeship managed service?
An apprenticeship managed service is specialist work a training provider buys in instead of hiring for it, such as ILR and compliance checks, IQA sampling, curriculum writing, tutor cover or employer recruitment. With Journey, the people doing that work use the same learner record as your own staff.
Do I need Journey Advanced to use a managed service?
No. Managed services are scoped and priced separately in writing. They work with Journey Core or Journey Advanced, and the scope is agreed during evaluation.
Can you support an Ofsted inspection or a funding audit?
We help you prepare evidence and find gaps early. We do not represent you in an inspection or an audit, and nothing we provide guarantees an inspection grade or a funding outcome.
Who can see our learner data?
Only the named people in the agreed scope, through role-based access in Journey. Access is logged and can be removed at any time. See Trust & Security and Sub-processors.
