What is Curriculum & Content Studio?

Journey Curriculum & Content Studio is a continuous curriculum development service for UK apprenticeship providers. It covers curriculum design, KSB mapping, schemes of work, tutor and learner resources, and Ofsted-ready curriculum evidence. Commercial terms are confirmed during evaluation.

The challenge

Curriculum development is one of the biggest hidden costs for apprenticeship providers. Standards change, industries move, assessment requirements evolve and inspection expectations shift. Many providers do not refresh content often enough because it is expensive, slow and resource-heavy.

What Journey does

Journey Curriculum & Content Studio gives providers a continuous curriculum improvement engine — design, mapping, resources and version control kept aligned to the standard and the published funding rules.

Why it matters to providers

Current, well-mapped curriculum is the foundation of strong delivery, learner progress and inspection confidence. It is also one of the costliest areas to staff internally.

Managed service

Providers can access a structured curriculum studio without building every specialist role internally. Scope, responsibilities and commercial terms are confirmed during evaluation.

Service scope, delivery responsibilities, measures and commercial terms are confirmed in writing during evaluation.

The provider outcome

Providers keep curriculum current and delivery-ready, reduce internal content cost, and build stronger curriculum evidence for inspection.

How the Curriculum & Content Studio works in practice

Rather than a one-off content drop, the studio runs as a continuous cycle: curriculum is designed and mapped to the standard's knowledge, skills and behaviours, schemes of work and tutor and learner resources are produced against that map, and everything is held under version control so you can see what changed and when. As standards, funding rules or assessment expectations move, the affected materials are refreshed rather than left to age.

Because the studio works alongside the platform, the curriculum your tutors deliver and the evidence learners produce point back to the same standard. That alignment is what turns curriculum from a folder of documents into Ofsted-ready evidence you can show at inspection. Service scope and commercial terms are confirmed in writing during evaluation.

Evidence-linked and accountable by design

Built so your team can trace evidence, decisions and actions

Hard tenant isolation

Every record is scoped to your organisation on each read and write — one provider can never see another's data.

Append-only audit log

Every state change is recorded against the real person who made it, so the history stands up at audit.

Versioned DfE rule packs

Funding-sensitive figures use centrally managed packs selected by start date: 2024/25, 2025/26 and published 2026/27 version 3 coverage.

Governed AI

After provider, DPIA and release approval, Advance AI is metered per tenant and prepares authorised drafts and K/S suggestions for human review. It does not make regulated decisions or change the source record.

Evidence-led security controls

Tenant isolation, access controls, audit records and governed operations are designed into the platform.

Your data and employers stay yours

No lock-in: export your data whenever you like, and your employer relationships always remain yours.
