Controlled pilot access
Last updated: 9 August 2026
Journey is currently accepting controlled pilot applications from UK apprenticeship training providers. This page explains the operating conditions used during evaluation. It is not an offer to provide a service and does not replace the written pilot or commercial agreement issued before a provider workspace is activated.
The legal contracting entity, agreed service scope, data roles, commercial terms, support arrangements and any service level are identified in that written agreement. If this page and the signed agreement differ, the signed agreement prevails.
1. Pilot service
Journey is a multi-tenant platform for managing apprentices, employers, on-the-job training, progress reviews, evidence, end-point assessment and funding. Pilot scope is agreed in writing; features and availability may change while the product is evaluated.
2. Pilot access and user responsibilities
Pilot users are responsible for the accuracy of information they provide, keeping sign-in credentials secure and using the service only with appropriate authority. Users must not attempt to access another provider's data, upload material they are not authorised to process, or use Journey to create misleading regulated evidence.
3. Availability and support
Pilot access is provided on an evaluation basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Planned maintenance is communicated in-app where practical; technical health information is not a contractual service-level commitment.
4. Journey Core
Journey Core is free for one provider workspace with up to 50 counted apprentices. Apprentices with an active or on-break status count towards that allowance; staff and employer accounts do not. Core applications are reviewed before access is activated.
A 30-day grace period applies if the allowance is exceeded. Existing data, support and export remain available. Journey Advance scope and commercial terms are confirmed in a separate written agreement before activation. A pilot is not a public paid checkout offer.
5. Data and exit
Pilot access may be ended or suspended where there is a security, legal or operational reason. Data processing, export, retention and exit support are governed by the written pilot or commercial agreement. See also the privacy information and data-processing information.
6. Legal terms
Liability, warranty, governing-law and dispute terms are not offered through this public page. They are set out in the written agreement for an approved pilot or commercial service.
